Cloumann Ltd was founded in 2026 to provide you with the best end-grain chopping boards for your home or for gifts to your friends. We are a UK based company and all our products come out of our London and Oxfordshire workshops.
The story of Cloumann
Peder J. Cloumann
Peder J. Cloumann was a great man, and a great lover of nature. He was born a long time ago by a fjord in Norway, as the son of a priest. As a substantial land owner in Norway, he was asked to be one of the signatories to the Norwegian Constitution in 1914.
As a descendant of Peder J. Cloumann, the founder of Cloumann is happy to keep the beautiful tradition of woodworking alive. And we hope that you too, as you see our beautiful products, will appreciate the skill started a long time ago.
